During the mobilization of international teams, and local and cross-border assistance in Romania and Slovakia, the EU Civil Protection Team (EUCPT) arrived to Budapest.
Up on their arrival, a range of briefings and meetings were held, between the Hungarian Directorate General for Disaster Management and the European Civil Protection Team. The representative from the disaster management authority introduced the Hungarian disaster response system to the experts from Italy, Austria, and Czech Republic, supported by a Technical Assistance and Support Team from Romania. The EUCPT got the assignment to deploy to Dunaújváros, where most of the international assistance were being deployed as well.
The responders redeploying from Romania, Slovakia and Upper-Tisa Region, along with the EUCPT arrived to Dunaújváros on the second day to receive the initial briefing form the county level civil protection inspectorate and start to set up the Base of Operations. The Host Nation Support requirements got clarified and the teams started to get ready for an early deployment on the next day.
